The Sentrol 1072 series recessed contacts are designed for applications where the added integrity of mounting screws is needed. The units work well in both wood and metal frame doors and windows. The two mounting holes provide additional strength to prevent the contact and magnet from becoming dislodged due to environmental changes. This can occur when the door or window frames become warped and misaligned from moisture or the settling of a building. The Sentrol high performance magnetic contacts have been designed to facilitate installation and ensure durability and dependability. Most are conservatively rated at 10,000,000 cycles, guaranteeing a long life. Every reed connection is hand soldered and each magnetic contact is tested before they leave the factory, 100% of the time. Reed legs are plated with rhodium or ruthenium, and hermetically sealed in dry nitrogen. This offers superior protection against sticking and provides a moisture free environment therefore preventing corrosion.
